Barratt Developments

Barratt Developments were the first major housebuilder to build a net zero carbon house at BRE Innovation Park in 2007 and the Hanham Hall development (completed in 2015) was England’s first large-scale volume scheme to achieve the zero-carbon standard, and is one of the flagship Carbon Challenge scheme promoted by the HCA.

We are committed through our Sustainability Framework for all new standard housetypes plotted from 2030 to achieve net zero carbon as well as reducing our indirect carbon emissions by 11% by 2030. Our roadmap will ensure that we continue to build homes and places that are adapted to climate change with reduced carbon emissions over their lifetime.
